Ozias-Akins Biotechnology Laboratory | Peggy Ozias-Akins | The University of Georgia

Located in the National Environmentally Sound Production Agriculture Laboratory at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus, the Ozias-Akins Biotechnology Laboratory is renowned for cutting edge investigations into aposporous apomixis (asexual reproduction through seeds) in Pennisetum species and relatives as well as the genetic enhancement of peanut applying the tools of molecular biology and transformation.

Led by Peggy Ozias-Akins, scientists in the Ozias-Akins Biotechnology Laboratory conduct research on apomixis and crop improvement through the application of biotechnology.
